How web3grant works
web3grant is an independent index of Web3 grant programs: 99 programs across 48 ecosystems, run by foundations, DAOs, companies and nonprofits, each with its grant size, payout, eligibility, application steps and next deadline. We are not affiliated with any program we list, and we never take applications: every program page links to the program’s own site.
How we check programs
Every program is checked against its own website, docs, governance forum or announcements, never against another directory. Each program page lists the pages it was checked against and the date of the last check, so you can see where every fact comes from.
The whole directory was audited on October 1, 2026, and 222 candidate programs were checked between October 1 and October 29, 2026. A program is listed only if a builder can apply to it today or it runs rounds that repeat. Programs that have ended, have no working way to apply, pay only in credits for gas or services, are prize competitions, or have too little verified information are left out. Programs that are paused or winding down stay listed with a notice at the top of their page.
Closed rounds and rounds that are due to change are rechecked against the program’s own site; the last recheck was on October 29, 2026. Anyone can report a change through the correction form.
How dates and amounts are worked out
- All dates are in UTC, and a round closes at the end of its last day. Status and days left are worked out from those dates on every request.
- A round counts as closing once 14 days or fewer are left. Programs that take applications all year have no deadline.
- Grant sizes are USD equivalents of what each program publishes. Amounts paid in a program’s own token are converted at prices from the time of the check. Where a program publishes no range, we show it as undisclosed, or use the range of its actual past awards and say so.
- Typical decision times are published by only a few programs; the rest are estimates from each program’s process or past rounds.
Guides
Our 100 guides explain how grant funding works and what each chain funds now. Program facts in them come from the same checked records as the directory, link to each program’s page and its sources, and every guide shows when it was last reviewed.
Data for tools and agents
- /llms.txt indexes the site for language models, with every program and guide as plain markdown (add
.mdto a program or guide URL). - /feed.xml is an RSS feed of rounds as they open, and /guides/feed.xml one of new guides.
- /deadlines/calendar.ics is a calendar feed of every upcoming opening and deadline.
