About Rocket Pool GMC grants
The Grants Management Committee (GMC) is a seven-member committee of the Rocket Pool Protocol DAO. It pays grants for work you propose and do yourself, bounties for open goals anyone can complete, and retrospective awards for Rocket Pool work that is already done. Its budget is 25% of the Protocol DAO's share of RPL inflation.
Rounds run monthly. Each round opens around the 7th with a call thread on the Rocket Pool governance forum. You post your application as a reply using the GMC template, and the committee scores it on how far it advances GMC goals, whether you can deliver it, and how large the benefit is relative to the cost. Results are posted two to three weeks after the deadline, followed by a two-week window in which anyone can dispute an award through an RPIP.
Awards are small. Recent approvals ranged from $680 (a Rescue Node top-up in Round 40) to $7,500, and every request above that, up to $100,000, was declined, often on cost or unclear demand. The committee has said it favors applicants who have engaged with the Rocket Pool community before applying.
