About RootstockCollective Grants
RootstockCollective is the DAO of Rootstock, the EVM-compatible Bitcoin sidechain. Holders of staked RIF (stRIF) vote on grants for builders who are live or about to launch on Rootstock mainnet. The program funds DeFi, infrastructure and integrations, developer tooling, wallets and onboarding, payments and stablecoins, analytics and interoperability.
Grants come in three tiers: Seed under $3,000, Scaling from $3,000 to $10,000, and Strategic from $10,000 to $35,000, which needs a full security audit. Money is released milestone by milestone, starting with a 20% to 30% first tranche. Since September 2026 about 30% is held back until a post-completion impact review.
The bar is measurable impact. Your proposal must show evidence of demand, disclose other funding and past security incidents, and set targets for on-chain metrics such as TVL, transactions and active wallets. Events, pure marketing and content without on-chain results are not funded.
