About Shutter DAO Impact Pilot
Shutter builds an encrypted mempool for Ethereum, which hides pending transactions until they are included in a block to stop front-running and censorship, as well as private voting for DAOs. Its DAO is testing a lightweight, evidence-based way to pay outside contributors through two grant rounds over three months.
Round 1 funds proactive grants for defined work against seven objectives, such as qualifying an encrypted mempool integration with a named wallet, RPC or chain, qualifying a private voting deployment, validating a Shutter use case in tokenized markets, or advancing Shutter PEN, a proposed funding body for cypherpunk Ethereum projects. Round 2 pays retroactive grants for work already done.
You post your request publicly on the Shutter forum using the template. Each request gets at least a week of discussion, then requests are bundled into one DAO vote. Proactive grants pay 50% after approval and 50% after the milestone is delivered and approved in a second vote. SEEDGov administers the program and Axia Network runs applicant clinics.
