About BDK Foundation Grants
The Bitcoin Dev Kit Foundation raises money to fund developers who research, contribute to and maintain BDK, a suite of open-source Rust libraries for building Bitcoin wallets, plus its Swift, Kotlin and Python bindings.
Full-time grants are for developers who spend most of their working time on BDK and related projects; the Foundation looks for strong Rust skills or mobile and language bindings experience, plus a vision for the code you would maintain. Project grants fund at least three months of part- or full-time work on a defined improvement, which can be research, testing or docs as well as code.
There is no form: you email a proposal to grants@bitcoindevkit.org. The Foundation weighs your public open-source record, how well you communicate and mentor, and whether you would bring a new region onto the team.
