About CKB Community Fund DAO
The CKB Community Fund DAO is a treasury started by the Nervos community and the Nervos Foundation, with an initial 276 million CKB. It funds people doing work around the CKB L1 ecosystem: code, tools, events and content. Recent proposals include light clients, Fiber payment network tooling, a crowdfunding app and community campaigns.
Anyone can post a proposal. Under the v1.1 rules launched in March 2026, it goes through a 30-day public deliberation with Q&A sessions run by DAO Stewards, then a 7-day vote where weight is the voter's CKB deposited in the Nervos DAO. A budget proposal passes with at least 51% approval and turnout of at least three times the requested amount.
Funding is paid in stages. The first payment is at most 20% of the budget and no more than $10,000, budgets over $10,000 must be split into milestones, and each milestone is checked by the Stewards and confirmed in a 3-day vote that passes unless the community rejects it. You can ask for a fixed CKB amount, a fixed amount of the USDI stablecoin, or a fixed USD value paid in CKB.
