About dYdX Grants Program

The dYdX Grants Program funds work that improves the dYdX user experience, grows trading activity and users, and strengthens the security and reliability of dYdX Chain. Its funding plan splits roughly 50% to infrastructure, tooling and security, 30% to ecosystem and token growth, and 20% to research and development.

You can apply at any time through the online form, or answer one of the requests for proposals the team publishes. A Grants Lead screens applications, interviews applicants to set milestones and costs, and sends approved grants to a committee for a 48-hour review. The program says the whole process takes about three weeks.

Many grants are ongoing service contracts, such as RPC nodes, data services and validator programs, paid monthly. Smaller one-off grants include a $3,000 ArbitrageScanner integration. Since August 2025 the program has funded Nethermind Research's tokenomics research, Kingnodes' order entry gateway and a Designated Proposer Set of eight validators.

    The team meets you to agree on deliverables, milestones, KPIs and cost.

    The grant goes to the Grants Committee in the next approval batch, with 48 hours to review.

    Approval and KYC

    You receive an approval email, sign the contributor agreement and complete KYC, then start work.
